Comparing Australian office fitout companies to those in the US AND UK.
Browsing the internet to gain insights into the marketing approach adopted by office fitout companies in London, New York, and comparing them to the Sydney and Melbourne websites, there were similarities and differences.
One London company challenged the web browser with a series of questions.
-
“Does your office manager ask the administrative staff what they would prefer when considering replacing office furniture?”
-
“Have you established the extent of your budget?”
-
“What in your opinion is the ideal layout for an intended office fitout?”
At OMG the approach is the reverse. OMG Projects may challenge the browser to consider their needs, however we make the point that all offices should have definite features.
A new office fitout should avoid clutter. There should be minimal, if any, interruption to the cross visual impact. The means one’s vision from entry should be uninterrupted through to the perimeter windows. There should be even and excellent lighting but not overly bright.
Colours should be neutral with the possibility of primary colours as highlights. If the client has strong corporate branding, the company logo would be incorporated into the décor.
In the US and UK, it did not appear that workstation type was an important issue when considering furniture items. Obviously workstations eventually would be part of the scope of works. Australian fitout companies stress the need to choose their workstations at an early stage.
Generally overseas firms are targeting the large contracts. OMG as well as most other Australian websites indicate that no job is too big or too small.
These web pages responding to the key works; office fitouts, office design and office interiors emphasise practicality over aesthetics.
